To improve our speed when answering maths questions, we have been completing 10 questions where we need to mentally work out the answer. Click here to have a go and see if you can reduce the time to answer the question.
Sycamore class have been practising map skills and using a compass to navigate. We navigated our partner around the classroom by giving them compass directions. Next time we are going to be directing our partner outside to find a mystery object! How do you remember North, East, South and West?
Sycamore class spent time researching facts about sharks or turtles, after watching a clip called 'Something Fishy'. The children then wrote their own information page about their chosen sea creature, and then redrafted one paragraph to make a class poster.
This half term we are focusing on Growthability. We shared our talents and thought about how we can continue to improve.
We are very proud of Colette for getting through to the Final of Shropshire Young Thinkers. There were 500 children that took part, and Colette was one of the youngest to get through.

The Shrewsbury Club they were treated to a tennis lesson. The children had a fabulous time and some of them proved that they have fantastic hand-eye co-ordination. Maybe we’ve got some future Wimbledon contenders amongst us! |
